How Dirty is Your Bathroom?
How Dirty is Your Bathroom?
Have you ever imagined how dirty your bathroom is? Before you continue reading the rest of the post, kindly watch the video above which a black light is used to identify how many germs are there in our bathroom.
How was it? Don't worry, next I will share with you some tips to stop germs in the bathroom:
1. Don't share towels
When people are sharing towels, they are actually depositing germs besides than drying off.
2.Don't share toothbrushes
Don't share toothbrushes and don't let your toothbrush make contact with any other toothbrushes stored in the same holder, keep them at least an inch apart. Make sure to replace your toothbrush if you've had any illness such as cold or flu because germs can remain even you have recovered.
3.Always flush with lid down
Polluted water erupts out of the flushing toilet bowl if you haven't put the lid down. And particles can take several hours to settle down; if you have your toothbrush too close to the toilet, you might've been brushing your teeth with those particles and germs.
4. Wash your hands after you do your business
You must always wash your hands after using the toilet. We sometimes pick our nose or eating with our hands, you can imagine you are sending germs into your body.
5. Scrub the inside of the toilet bowl
Germs can grow if you don't clean it properly. You should scrub it at least a couple times a week with something that contains bleach.

Aokigahara: Japan’s Haunted Forest of Death
Aokigahara: Forest of Death
There is one place located at the base of Mt. Fuji, Japan: Aokigahara aka the Sea of Trees, In Aokigahara there has been over 500 confirmed suicides since the 1950s. Aokigahara is the world’s second most popular place for suicide (the Golden Gate Bridge being the first).
From a 1993 bestselling book, The Complete Suicide Manual, inside of it, it describes various modes of suicide and recommends Aokigahara as the perfect place to die. This book is commonly found from the suicide victims with their belongings. The most common method of suicide in Aokigahara is hanging from the trees.Japan's suicide rate is notoriously one of the highest among the world, and with this suicide manual, it's very terrible.
There is a legend that in the ancient times, families would abandon people in the forest when there was no food for them. By sacrificing their family members, at least it would be enough food for the rest of the family. Those abandoned in the forest often died of starvation. Therefore, Aokigahara is also said to be a place where haunted by the souls of those abandoned people. There are also many ghost stories that associated with Aokigahara.
However, that doesn't mean the Japanese government has done nothing to prevent people from suicide in the forest. They have actually given a lot of efforts and provided any help they could. Around the forest, you can see a lot of signboards above, saying “Your life is a precious gift from your parents,” and “Please consult with the police before you decide to die,”nevertheless, they are proved to be ineffective as the suicide rate has been climbing up rapidly.
As there are too much suicides in Aokigahara, the government have to do sweeps of the forest annually to search for and clear out bodies. A local police officer said, “I’ve seen plenty of bodies that have been really badly decomposed, or been picked at by wild animals. There’s nothing beautiful about dying in there.”

If the World Were Run Like Airlines
Yesterday I read an interesting news from Wall Street Journal:
If the World Were Run Like Airlines
When Airlines are sandwich shops
When closer to lunchtime, when demand for sandwiches is on its peak, the prices of sandwiches will go up.When most of the people prefer tuna than roast beef, the price of tuna sandwich will surely be the most expensive among all although the cost of producing a roast beef sandwich is higher.
When their competitors dropped bologna from its menu, the price on bologna sandwiches will be increased.
.
When Airlines are clothing shops
If you buy your jeans on Tuesday and Wednesday in February, you usually will get the cheapest price. However, if you buy in December, the price will be highest.
If you want to wear your jeans right away, it probably will cost you 10 times more with the price you buy with 30 days in advance.
Any item you purchased from them with any discounted price will be nonreturnable, unless you are willing to pay an additional $200 for exchange.
When Airlines are hotels
When you book a hotel from them, what you get are only 4 walls.
Want a bed? Extra $50.
Want to take a shower? $15 per 10-minute.
Want to watch TV? TV is included but you have to bring your own remote control, otherwise $3 for lending.
Want to reserve your room? $10.
Want to use priority elevator? $10
Checking out online is free while talking to their desk charge you $25 real-person fee.
When Airlines are markets
To make sure they cram more customers into the store, they squeezed all their aisles closer together in order to create more aisles for higher revenue per store.
You can pay higher price to get yourself a wider row, which they called "Economy Extra".
Only shoppers who enter the store first have enough room for carts.

A Story of Two Sneakers: Adidas and Puma
Adidas and Puma are now two of the most well-known sportswear brands in the world. They were found by two borthers: Adolf "Adi" Dassler and Rudolf "Rudi" Dassler. Adi was a sports fanatic spending hours designing shoes, while the older brother "Rudi" is an impressive salesman.
In 1924, both of them worked together and established the Dassler Brothers Shoe Factory. The Dassler factory was used to produce anti-tank weapons and boots for the military during the second world war.
During World War II, Rudi was called to serve the military and got detained in an American POW camp for a year whereas Adi continued working in the shoe factory. Later, Rudi and Adi became enemies, the reason might be that Rudi felt Adi didn't do anything to get him released when he was in trouble.
Hence in 1947. both the brothers split up. Adi frist named his Addas, but as at that time there was already a children's shoe brand with that name, so he changed it to "Adidas". While Rudi changed his company's from Ruda to "Puma" as the name Ruda wasn't really inspiring.
At first, both of them were competing against each other aggressively. However, in the end, Rudi had an argument with the coach of German soccer team months before the 1954 World Cup, so as result, the German soccer team was sponsored by Adidas.
The German team didn't disappoint Adi and went on to win that World Cup, the three-stripe shoes the players wore successfully helped Adidas gained its reputation from the world.
Until today, Adidas is still the second biggest sportswear company for the world. It is not just an ordinary sportswear but an icon for fashion favored by many celebrities and athletes.
